Looking Forward

The Indiana Bicycle Polo Cooperative had its first official meeting this past Friday at the Red Key Tavern in Indy. This has been in the works for a while but now things are really rolling. When I'm always excited about polo and Indiana this is the kinda stuff I'm talking about...

...and then we all went an Ice game!

The Ice won both this fight and the game.

Keith even brought the kids along.

Indiana Ice 3-2 Chicago Steel

A lot has happened this year and the best part is that 2011 will be even better!

Mr. Do / MPLS vs STL / The Comeback

The Comeback from Mr.Do on Vimeo.

Great full game edit from the glorious Mr. Do! I remember this game well seeing how I was "reffing" but I think I like it better with the slow motion. Well done Dustin!
Not sure about the title though; it might be A comeback but I'm not sure if it's THE comeback.

THIS is a comeback.

Last night of pickup / Ft. Wayne visits

So great having Robbie, Drew, and Stas in town!
They brought their A-game (and some tasty homebrews) leading to play that seemed less pickup and more like a tourney. Fun times.

How i got blood on my crank arm i'm still not sure...

And that's a season.
See y'all at the secret location for polo next Thursday.

2011 Little 500 bicycle preview

Seen here at Bloomington Velo News. Thanks Geraint!

Behold the weirdness that is Little 500!

Australian sweeper mallet

Colorful, offset design posted by Dingo at the League.
A little impractical, but check out that drillium!

The one and only STL LOCK-IN!

It's that time again!!! The committee has made their selections and registration is closed so we don't have keep it on the down low anymore. I've barely been able to contain myself this long, so I'm glad the cat's out of the bag. Now to break out the white pants, warm up my liver, and try to keep up with the hardest partiers in the poloverse.

Ready, set, winter!

Yes, it was that cold.

Sweet boots jackass. Are those clipless?

Last night was cold but fun.
Now we just gotta find a new cone by Thursday...

All Florida Championships

New favorite flyer! Of course I can't play 'cause I'm not a Florida resident, but at least I can admire the artwork. Good thing gator-dude is wearing pads, seeing as how he's riding brakeless and chainless!

Seen here at the League.

Random gear for sale

Primo Powerbite BMX 175mm crank arms
Odyssey MDS 30t sprocket (1/8")
Eastern BB (euro)

Bomb-proof bmx drivetrain for dirt cheap. The crank arms are solid but the black color is dulling. The sprocket is basically new. The spindle on the bb is fine, but the bearings are worn and should be replaced. I almost don't wanna get rid of this setup but i'm planning an upgrade!

CCM v04 Hockey Helmet w/full faceguard
used for a season. scratched up and needs cleaned.

Taiwanese faux-Aerospoke 26" (Teny brand)
Kenda 26"x1.5" tire included
basically new. heavy as hell but indestructible.

Minoura Advance Rollers

These things are actually pretty expensive.
I was gonna say $75 since they're unused, but the first person to give me $50 and buy me a beer gets 'em.

Nice and compact too.

Give me a call if you know my number, or hit me up at polovelobloomington@gmail.com

Here comes the snow!

Winter polo is when we separate the men from the boys... and apparently the ladies are more man than all y'all combined! I think this was the first time where women outnumbered men;
at least for part of the night.

...of course some of us boys were out getting tattoos.

Prizes were given away, if you weren't there you missed out!

We may not have the biggest club,
but I'm willing to bet we have the most fun!

Grand Rapids gets a blog!

Woohoo! First Ft.Wayne now Grand Rapids... Of course they've been playing in Michigan for years now, but the blogs are a great way to keep in touch. Now let's watch and see how much polo they play through the winter! The snow is already piling up here in southern Indiana so i'm sure they covered up north...
